چکیده

The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the fracture resistance definitive zirconia dioxide restorations obtained using a computer-aided design manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system. Methods: Two groups ten samples were analyzed for each material (n: 20); first group Zolid Gen X Amann Girrbach (ZGX) second Cercon HT Dentsply Sirona (CDS). designed with identical parameters milled CAD/CAM Each specimen load tested at speed 0.5 mm/min, direction parallel major axis tooth an initial preload 10 N until universal testing machine (Universal/Tensile Testing Machine, Autograph AGS-X Series) equipped 20 kN cell. results recorded in Newtons (N), software connected machine. Results: Statistically significant differences found, monolithic crowns lower CDS (1744.84 ± 172.8 N) compared ZGX (2387.41 516 N). Conclusions: CAD-CAM showed sufficient when used posterior molar premolar zones either material, as they withstood loads greater than maximum masticatory force.

Effect of cements on fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia crowns

Objectives The present study investigated the effect of cements on fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia crowns in relation to their compressive strength. Materials and methods Four different cements were tested: zinc phosphate cement (ZPC), glass-ionomer cement (GIC), self-adhesive resin-based cement (SRC) and resin-based cement (RC). RC was used in both dual cure mode (RC-D) and chemical...

Fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia molar crowns with reduced thickness.

OBJECTIVES The purpose of the present study was to analyze the relationship between fracture load of monolithic zirconia crowns and axial/occlusal thickness and to evaluate the fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia crowns with reduced thickness in comparison with that of monolithic lithium disilicate crowns with regular thickness. MATERIALS AND METHODS Monolithic zirconia crowns (Lava Pl...

The Effect of Different Marginal Designs on the Fracture Resistance of Monolithic Zirconia Crowns

Abstract   Background and Aim: One of the major problems of all ceramic restorations is their probable fracture against the occlusal force. The aim of the present in vitro study is to compare the effect of three marginal designs (shoulder, sloped shoulder, chamfer) on the fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia crowns. Materials and methods: In this in vitro study, three PEEK dies with cham...

Effect of different semimonolithic designs on fracture resistance and fracture mode of translucent and high-translucent zirconia crowns

Purpose The aim of this study was to describe different designs of semimonolithic crowns made of translucent and high-translucent zirconia materials and to evaluate the effect on fracture resistance and fracture mode. Methods One hundred crowns with different designs were produced and divided into five groups (n=20): monolithic (M), partially veneered monolithic (semimonolithic) with 0.3 mm b...

Influence of the preparation design and artificial aging on the fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia crowns

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to evaluate the fracture resistance and fracture behavior of monolithic zirconia crowns in accordance with the preparation design and aging simulation method. MATERIALS AND METHODS An upper first molar was prepared sequentially with three different preparation designs: shoulderless preparation, 0.4 mm chamfer and 0.8 mm chamfer preparation. For each preparati...
